Who We Are:
Kirk Duer, President
Kirk Duer founded The Duerson Corporation in 1986 on one simple, but important principle: We are in the relationship business first and the roofing business second. That attitude has served him and the company well for almost a quarter century.
Two years after opening the doors, he became a Dealer/Contractor for Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. Since then, The Duerson Corporation has been a sales volume award winner annually, achieving the Master Roofer designation from the Duro-Last Quality Assurance Department since 1994 and Master Elite Roofer designation every year since category’s inception, in 2001.
From 1995 to 1997, Kirk was asked to serve on the Duro-Last Contractor Advisory Board, an honor reserved for contractors who exemplify the highest standards in quality and performance in the industry.
When Kirk is not working – a rare occasion – he enjoys bowling, golfing and spending time with his family. He and Lori have been married for 23 years and have four beautiful children together: Jarrett, Tanner, Riley and Sydney.
Kirk is also passionately involved with Habitat for Humanity. Since 2005, Kirk has traveled all over the United States with his family to assist with or lead Habitat builds.
Lori Duer, Vice President
Lori has been with Duerson Corporation since day one, when she and Kirk started Kirk’s roofing. As Vice President of Duerson Corporation, Lori manages AR/AP, personnel and administrative issues.
Lori is a lifelong Des Moines resident and graduate of East High School.
When she is not working at Duerson Corporation, Lori spends her time coaching the Southeast Polk Jr. High Rhythamettes, volunteering at her church and raising their four children: Jarrett, Tanner, Riley and Sydney.

Roger Cox, Sales Manager
Roger joined the Duerson Corporation in April 2004, bringing with him a strong background in sales, management, and marketing. Prior to work at Duerson Corporation, Roger spent more than 30 years in television & appliance retail sales – 26 of those years with one company. Today, Roger oversees sales, corporate accounts, marketing campaigns and is the voice for Duerson Corporation’s radio advertisements.
When not at work, Roger and Connie – his wife of 35 years – enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and serving at their church. In September 2010, Roger completed the process to receive his Ministerial license with the Open Bible Churches.
